In-Home Amenities

The North End offers fantastic in-home features…something for everyone. The community has a variety of floorplans, each designed with consideration towards HOW YOU LIVE. While there are nuances in each building at the community, the standard throughout is LUXURY. From the stainless steel appliances to the high end countertops, each interior appointment was made with a high level of detail. These apartments live much more like condominiums, while still offering the freedom of renting.

Sustainability

At Mandel Group we're committed to environmentally responsible real estate development. Mandel Group's "Eco-Friendly" initiative is engineered to achieve not only environmental goals but also to enhance the livability of your new Mandel home. Care is taken at each level: the community, its amenities and the apartments.

Our communities include sophisticated heating and cooling systems using the highest efficiency equipment and state-of-the-art products. We pay special attention to the construction of our building enclosures and insist on the best window systems and insulation details.

At the amenity level, one example of sustainability is the addition of green roofs to our communities, including The North End. Each building’s Rooftop Terrace aids in stormwater management and saves more than 32,000 gallons per rainfall.

Within each apartment, we only use the most highly-rated Energy-Star appliances and thoughtfully incorporate new energy-efficient technologies such as LED lighting. It all adds up to produce the most energy-efficient homes available today. The average U.S. family spends over $1,500 a year on energy bills. Energy efficient products help save you money, and also reduce environmental impact by offsetting the energy used in production. Save personally and globally!

Your home's environment needs to be friendly to you, its occupant, as well as the environment. We place special emphasis on the three characteristics that define your environment -- acoustical separation, air quality, and lighting quality — resulting in total environmental comfort. Our homes are characterized by highly efficient wall and floor systems that defeat sound transfer; use of low-VOC paints and finishes together with high-efficiency air purification filters; and huge exterior window walls that transfer light between multiple rooms through the use of "borrow" and transom windows. The result is a home that is quiet, with incredible air quality, and plentiful soothing natural light throughout. In addition, many Mandel Group communities, including The North End, is Smoke Free, working to improve air quality for you and all residents at the North End.

Importantly, we emphasize sustainability — materials that are tough at the start and built to last. After all, longevity is one of the most environmentally responsible goals we can achieve.

Windows / Insulated Glass: Low-E glass is standard at the North End. This energy efficient glass ensures year-round savings and comfort by optimizing the sun’s heat and a home’s heating and cooling systems. In the summer, Low-E keeps a home cool and comfortable by rejecting the sun’s heat and damaging rays. In the winter, Low-E glass helps a home stay warm by reflecting heat back into the rooms.

Stainless Steel Appliances: Energy Star Appliances throughout, including washer/dryer sets with advanced a cold wash cycle, numerous wash actions and moisture settings.

High End Countertops: You will find a mix of luxury countertops chosen to highlight the North End kitchen spaces, the majority which are quartz and silestone. Both of these products offer long term benefits to the environment as they do not require quarrying. The materials are highly non-porous to ensure there is no place for bacteria to hide. In addition, the material’s strength and resistance to staining and damages means there will be no unnecessary material replacements in the future. Greenguard certified sustainable.

Roller Shades: Roller Shades are designed to deal with heat and glare. Living Rooms and Kitchens at the North End have a lighter shade, allowing more light to naturally filter through, while in the bedrooms, roller shades are darker to insulate sleeping spaces from light and glare.
